You prayed for my cousins, who were trying to have a baby for 8 years. “I think we’re cursed,” my cousin Deborah had told me. The agent prayed, I prayed, we all prayed and . . . nothing. No baby. Since I certainly don’t understand the ways of G-d, and I figured it couldn’t hurt, I signed up for another prayer. After Rosh Hashonah, Deborah told me that right after Passover she did the in vitro again. I knew what convinced them to try again. Passover was when the prayers were being said at the Wall.
