I wrote to tell you that my son has been dating non-Jews and that I have been so worried about his seeming lack of connection to Judaism. It seemed likely that he would marry one of those girls and not carry on Judaism to his kids. After I signed up to have someone pray for him at the Wall, my son told me some surprising news: he has renewed his relationship with an old girlfriend. I hope you are sitting down because this is the one girl he ever dated who is Jewish and a most lovely, lovely young lady! I don’t know where this will lead, but I feel a tremendous renewal of hope.
